   German Painter Collagist.
   Schwitters worked in several genres and media, including Dada, Constructivism, 
   Surrealism, poetry, sound, painting, sculpture, graphic design, typography and what 
   came to be known as installation art. 
   He is most famous for his collages, called Merz Pictures
 1915 Marries Helma Fischer.

 1918 Tristan Tzara meets him and Max Ernst in Cologne.
    Meets Jean Arp, Raoul Hausmann and Hannah Hoch in Berlin.

 1919 begins his "Merz" in Hannover, with the publication of "Anna Blume."

 1922 Serge Charchoune collaborated with him on Mertz.

 1923 Jean Arp collaborated with him on Mertz.

 1925 Contributed to the periodical Esophage published by Edouard Mesens 
   and Rene Magritte.
   Katherine Dreier was one of his Patron's.

 1941 meets Edith Wantee Thomas -> in London.

 1944 Hears of death of Helma. Moves with Wantee to Ambleside and
