  1926 Studied at the Slade School under Henry Tonks -> and privately with Bernard Meninsky -> 
     and then in Paris under Andre Lhote and at the Atelier Colarossi ->.

 1927 Went to France meeting Roland Penrose and Janko Varda? in Cassis 
   and also Roger Fry ->, Clive Bell -> and Duncan Grant ->.
  He also met and befriended  Georges Braque; Max Ernst and Andre Masson.

 1929 Nudes in an Bedroom influenced by Matisse, bought by Clive Bell.

 1930's Joined Paul Nash'€™s Unit One Group after resignation of Frances Hodgkins ->.
   Friendship with  Edward Wadsworth, with whom he painted abroad.

    After the war he moved to Somwerset with his family.

 1954 Publication of his autobiography Leda and the Goose.
