 1935-1938 attended the Atelier 17 of Stanley William Hayter.

 1936 Friend of Wifredo Lam.
     He embarked on a series of photographs about the Struggle of Penthesilea,

 1937 Published in Minotaure his photo The Triumph of Sterility.
     During this time he worked alongside Hans Bellmer, Benjamin Peret, Victor Brauner and Raoul Hausmann.

 1938 January; exhibits in Exposition Internationale du Surrealisme at the Galerie Beaux-Arts, 
     Paris; organizers Andre Breton, Marcel Duchamp.

 1939 Exibited in Le Reve dans l'art et la litterature organized by Frederic Delanglade.

 1940 Introduces Pol Bury to Rene Magritte.
     Left Brussels together with Irene Hamoir and her husband and Rene Magritte 
     with whom he ran the Collective Invention review.

 1940 Marcel Marien collaborates with him.
     Portrait of Agui ->.

 1941 Exhibited his photography at the Dietrich Gallery, his last photography exhibition.
     Contributes to La Main a Plume.
     Affair with Regine Raufast.
     Meeets the poet Jean Lescure (illustrating his Exercise of Purity) and participated 
     in the review Messages. Through this, he met Paul Eluard, André Frénaud ->, 
     Raymond Queneau and Jean Bazaine ->.

 1945 Distances himself from the surrealists; gives up photography.

 1985? d. March 22nd. in Dieudonne.
