 1937 Joined Les Reverberes a neo- dadist group 
    which included Noel Arnaud.
    Friends with fellow poet Paul Eluard and with Jean-Francois Chabrun.

 1938 Poems published in Les Reverbieres.

 1940 mobilized in Montlu├žon in an infantry regiment.

 1941 Joined La Main A Plume.
    One of the signatories to Etat de presence, the group's founding manifesto,
    with Adolphe Acker, Jean-Fran├žois Chabrun, Regine Raufast, 
    Robert Rius, Hans Schoenhoff and Gerard Vulliamy.
    His house was used as a letter-box.

 1942 Signs the pamphlet of the Vos Gueules group! which castigates writers 
    publishing in collaborationist publications

 1943 Signed the pamphlet Nom de Dieu, which was an attack on 
    Georges Bataille for collaboration.

 1944 Writes about deportation Listen!, his last poem, dedicated to 
    Jean Hoyaux.
    d. Mar. 13th. Berlin in a German hospital of pneumonia.
