 1919 Meets Gabriella Picabia on the boat to America 
   Marriage soon estranged.
   Lived in New York working as scriptwriter and translator.

 1920 Divorced. Two children.

 1921 Her good friend Gabriella Picabia introduces her to 
   Man Ray in New York.

 1922 Returns to France, to Paris.  
   Lends some of her creations to Nancy Cunard.

 1923 First winter collection.

 1927 Lord and Taylor, Fith Avenue commission.

 1930 Marie Berthe Aurenche knits dresses for her to augment income.

 1932 meets Leonor Fini and lends her clothes.
   Encouraged by Paul Poiret to open her own business.
   Lee Miller modelled for her.
   Worked with Leonor Fini, Jean Cocteau, Meret Oppenheim, and 
   Alberto Giacometti.

 1935 Opens her boutique  at 21 Place Vendome.
   Her designers included Jean Cocteau, Christian Berard, Louis Aragon, 
   Elsa Triolet.
   Among her clientelle were Mae West, Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich.

 1937 Lobster Dress with Salvador Dali.
   Dinner Jacket ~> collaboration with Jean Cocteau for Autumn collection ~>.

 1938 Monkey hair shoes. 
   Skeleton Dress and Tear-Illusion dress presented in Circus Collection.
   echoes a 1936 Dalí painting ~> entitled 
   Three Young Surrealist Women Holding in Their Arms the Skins of an Orchestra.

   Leonor Fini designs a perfume bottle for her Shocking ->.

 1940 Left for New York. But shortly after returns to France

 1942 Returns to US. Suspected of being a Vichy agent. 

 1945 returns to Paris. Starts her Perfume factory.

 1946 The Constellation wardrobe.

 1954 Closes her Place Vendôme Boutique.

 1969? Donated a collection of her clothing to Philadelphia Museum of Art.

 1973 Nov 13th. d. Paris
