      In his formative years his art was sponsored by Rainer Maria Rilke, Maurice Denis, 
      Pierre Bonnard -> and Henri Matisse.

 1922 Meets Alberto Giacometti.

 1926 Visited Florence.

 1928 Met Jean Carrive when he visited Germany.

 1930 Moved to Morocco; drafted.

 1933 Returned to Paris. Contributed to Minotaure.
    Patronised by Marie-Laure de Noailles.

 1934 First Parisian Exhibition. The Guitar Lesson -> and  La Rue ->.

 1935 Designed set for The Cenci adapted by Antonin Artaud.

 1937 m. Antoinette de Watteville.

 1938 Exhibition in the gallery of Pierre Matisse, New York.

 1940 Fled to Savoy, near Aix-les-Bains.

 1942 Fled to Switzerland.

 1946 Returns to France.

 1947 Travels with Andre Masson to Southern France, meeting  Picasso 
    and Jacques Lacan.

 1956 Exhibition in MoMA.

 1977? Moved to Rossiniere, Switzerland.

 2001? d. February 18th. in Rossiniere, Switzerland
